The Chase Nursery was established in 1968 with the whole of the ground floor being used as the nursery. On the first floor is where the Head office sits along with staff facilities.

Kerry Boughey Director of The Chase Nurseries is very proud of their latest Ofsted visit, where they achieved an OUTSTANDING merit in all areas. At The Chase the children have a fantastic environment to learn with good resources & highly qualified staff the children are thriving.

The Chase has been refurbished and looking fantastic with lots of new and exciting toys, the ethos has remained the same. Continuing with the much loved structure and dedicated team, Kerry has great expectations for the future! We welcome you to call us to arrange an appointment or pop in if you are passing by.

The Chase provides care for 35 Children at any one time.

Our aim is to ensure all staff are paediatric first aid trained and in addition we have defibrillators on all sites. Safety for your child is our top priority.

Beach School Trips - January 20 (Only at our Holland Branch)

Before we went out to explore our wonderful coast line, The Children had to put on their thinking caps as we were in search of items on our journey down to the beach. Litter! I'm pleased to say there was no litter to be collected. We counted red cars, we searched for yellow flowers & we found the post box and posted letters! Lovely speech and language was observed, great counting skills too! 6 children get taken to the beach with three staff members - All children must wear reins and high vis jackets

When we get down to the beach the children voice their own risk assesment. we discuss, Dogs, staying as a group, no climbing the rocks, no going to close to the water without an adult... We enjoy 20 minuites of free play with all the toys. after our play we are ready to explore our environment. The children have, magnify glasses, metal detectors, large tweezers (if they dont want to touch the seaweed) and scales to weigh their stones. the children choose what items they would like to explore from our treasure hunt sheet.

Exploring the rocks & in search of limpets!

After the children have completed their treasure hunt we go back to the beach hut for some cheese and biscuits and a well deserved drink. Whilst enjoying our snack we look at our treasure items against our fact sheet library. After all our fun down the beach the children help to tidy up and we walk back to the nursery singing songs :) Happy days :)

Admission

The nursery operates on a first come, first served basis. We are registered with Ofsted and government funding is available for 3-4 year olds and some funding is available for 2 year olds. Please be aware that with the change in the school admissions we can only guarantee places being available in the September term.

We are a very strong team, dedicated in providing quality care and provision for your child's early years.

All of our staff have qualifications in child care or are working towards them. They continually attend a wide variety of courses in addition to First Aid, Child Protection, and SENCo (Special Needs). All staff are D.B.S (Disclosure Barring Service) checked.
